TextCaptureX 1.3

TextCaptureX is a COM library that allows screen text extraction in Windows applications. It is accessible from any COM aware programming languages. You can use it to extract text from any application that doesn't provide communication API's in order to feed another program. You can also use it to extract text from legacy systems, file directories, status bar messages, Windows error messages and more. TextCaptureX is not OCR based so it's incredible fast. So it's convenient to embed it into dictionaries or translation tools. Imagine: your customer captures any text on screen, even when copy/paste is not available, with a hotkey and with a mouse click your dictionary pops up with the text already translated/explained. We provide C++, Visual Basic and C# samples into the trial version in order to demonstrate the text capture library features. Limitations:TextCaptureX cannot capture text from scanned documents, faxes and doesn't recognize PostScript/PDF/Adobe Acrobat fonts. Also it doesn't work in Windows 95, 98 and ME.

This software is a shareware. You will be able to download and test TextCaptureX during a certain period of time, then, if it does what you need, you will have to acquire the full version. The trial version available for download on www.softandco.com has a size of 2738 KBytes. For additional information and support request, please contact directly TextCaptureX publisher.
